Business and Company Resource Center

Do you need company information, business articles, or industry overviews? 

The Business and Company Resource Center is an expansive database with current information on companies, businesses, and industries. According to its creators, this database’s information "meets core curriculum requirements in undergraduate and graduate case study work as well as the business research needs of the job seeker or casual investor." Here is how to access the database: 

  1. Log on to www.jclc.org and click on the Databases under the Resources link
  2. Choose the Business and Company Resource Center database the list of databases
  3. Once you have clicked on Business and Company Resource Center, you must enter your name as well as your library card number (the long number below the barcode on the back of your library card).
  4. At the Business and Company Resource Center homepage, you may choose from several options. In the search bar at the top left-hand corner, you may type in a company name, keywords for an article search, or the name of an industry. After typing in a word or phrase, make sure you choose the appropriate selection from the dropdown menu to the right of the search bar.

    If you choose "Company Search" or "Industry Description Search," more than one tab will be highlighted. Clicking on the different tabs will give you access to more search results. The different tabs are "Company Profile," "News/ Magazines," "Histories," "Investment Reports," "Financials," "Rankings," "Suits and Claims," "Products," "Industry Overview," and "Associations."

    For an advanced article, company, or industry search, select your choice from the top navigation bar or select "advanced search" and you may limit your search criteria to fit your needs.
