Do you need information on how to diagnose, troubleshoot, or repair your car?

The Auto Repair Reference Center is an extensive automobile repair database that covers almost 60 years of cars, from 1945 through 2007, and almost every make and model including foreign and domestic cars. Here's how to access the database:

  1. Log on to www.jclc.org and click on the Databases under the Resources link
  2. Choose the Auto Repair Reference Center database the list of databases
  3. Once you have clicked on the Auto Repair Reference Center, you must enter your name as well as your library card number (the long number below the barcode on the back of your library card).
  4. At the Auto Repair Reference Center homepage, you must first choose the year of the automobile. From here, you must choose the make of the car, then the model, and then the sub-model, if the car has one. You will then be given a list of "Topics," such as "Repair Procedures," "Service Bulletins and Recalls," "Wiring Diagrams," "Labor," "Specifications," and "Maintenance Intervals." You may then choose the appropriate topic for your work or research.

This Auto Repair Reference Center has many unique tools, including diagrams and diagnostic schemes, and it will save you the time and stress of trying to find the information in a reference book.
