Keep
Dreaming!
JCLC Campaign 2010
Support all 39 public libraries in Jefferson County, Alabama
November 15, 2010
Dear Library User:
Like you, I am a product of my local hometown library. I rode my bike to the
library weekly, loaded my basket with books, and read as much as possible in
between chores and homework. I floated down the Mississippi with Tom and Huck,
traveled around the world, and dreamed.
The small library of my youth has been replaced by a dynamic, vibrant library
that offers downloadable ebooks and audio books, computer training, youth
programs, traditional books and much more.
Due to funding cuts, we are asking for your continued help to keep our “One
County – One Card†system operational. Your neighborhood library
is part of the 39 libraries that make up the Jefferson County Library
Cooperative. The Cooperative works
behind-the-scenes to coordinate the services that link
you to all Jefferson County libraries with “One Card.â€
The core services we make available to all county residents are:
One Delivery Service
- The items you want where you want to pick them up!
- Books-By-Mail for homebound citizens
One Network
- Nearly 2 million items in 39 libraries countywide are
available to you
- 24/7 catalog, downloadable audio & ebooks, information
databases
- In person, or online holds on items at any library in the
county
- Internet access
We need your continued support.
Please make a tax-deductible donation. Every gift counts! Join us in
continuing to keep your public library system vibrant. I invite you to visit our
website at
www.jclc.org.
Please be generous…give so we can help Jefferson County citizens continue to
dream. Thank you for your support of the public libraries of Jefferson County.
Sincerely,
Patricia F. Ryan
