Freezing a Hold

Freezing allows you to "freeze" a request, allowing other holds to be filled while it is "on ice" without losing your place in line when it is reactivated. You can use it when you know you will be out of town and do not want to miss the item or you do not want that item to become available until you are ready. It gives you some flexibility about when to receive your items on hold.
