In recuperation from a serious car crash that left him with devastating injuries, Edgar Freemantle decided that physical therapy is not enough to insure his complete recovery. Mental and emotional issues have wrecked his marriage as well as, and Edgar retreats to Duma Key in Florida and discovers his talents as an artist. However, this is far more to his artwork than first meets the eye. It can channel mysterious and frightening powers, and Duma Key itself seems to amplify the strange effects of Edgar's artwork.
