Hands down, the best way to learn a new language is full immersion. Want to learn Italian? Move to Italy. Unfortunately most of us lack the time and resources for such an investment. However, there is hope: TeLL Me More language learning software from Auralog.

Visit http://www.jclc.org on the web. Go to "Resources" then "Databases." Click the "TeLL Me More" link.

On the first visit, you will need to create a new account.

Auralog recommends running the computer test before you begin. The Computer Test checks the computer for all elements needed to run the program successfully. Additional Auralog components can be downloaded at this point in order to perform the speech recognition exercises.

Select your desired language from the drop-down menu. The available languages are German, American English, Dutch, Spanish, French, Italian and Latin American Spanish.

A wide variety of lesson types allow you to build different language skills: Listening Comprehension, Reading, Speaking and Writing.

Now that you are ready to use the TeLL Me More language learning software, let’s make it even more interesting. Answer these questions about the TeLL Me More Software and you could win a gift basket from the Regional Library Computer Center.
