The new exhibit, which opens November 4 in the Gallery of the Birmingham Public Library, Central location, and runs through December 30, features photographs and artifacts documenting the exciting technologies that brought us power and radio from 1920 through 1945, radically transforming our lives. The exhibit is sponsored by the Alabama Power Company and the Alabama Historical Radio Society, with the support of the Birmingham Public Library and the Birmingham Historical Society.

At the opening reception on November 4, 2007 from 3-5 p.m., radio historical society members will be on hand to share their collection of historic radios and programs.
