Residents of Jefferson County now have access to Rosetta Stone, the award-winning language learning software. And best of all, it’s FREE!

Like the original Rosetta Stone found in Egypt by Napoleon’s troops in 1799, Rosetta Stone language learning software is a key to unlocking the mysteries of an unknown language. Give it a try!

  • Visit www.JCLC.org on the web. Go to “Resources” then “Databases.” Click “Rosetta Stone.”

  • Register by creating a user name and password. You will need to download plug-ins before you can launch your lessons for the first time.

  • Select your desired language, then choose a lesson from the list. Try the placement exercise to help you begin at the right level.

Rosetta Stone is used by individuals, government agencies and educational institutions throughout the world. It features “dynamic immersion” which means Rosetta Stone allows you to develop different language skills: Listening Comprehension, Reading, Speaking and Writing.
