Dirk Powell Band – In Concert With Special Guest Riley Baugus - February 18-19, Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Dirk Powell is considered one of the world’s leading experts on traditional Appalachian fiddle and banjo. He has worked with both Sting and Jewel, but is probably best known for his collaboration on the soundtrack and performance in the movie Cold Mountain. His banjo playing can also be heard in Spike Lee’s Bamboozled and Edward Burns’ The Brothers McMullen.

This production is part of the 2006 Southern Voices Conference.

Flanagan’s Wake - March 17-18, Friday-Saturday, 8 p.m. This hilarious, interactive Irish wake has been running in Chicago for 11 smash years, making theater history. The audience joins the other villagers of County Sligo, Ireland, who sadly mourn the passing of the much beloved Flanagan, telling tales and singing songs as only the Irish can. "A wild and funny improvisational ride." Conceived by Jack Bronis, created by Jimmy Binns, Amy Binns-Calvey, Geoff Binns-Calvey, Jack Bronis, Mark Czoske, Pat Musker, Phil Lusardi and Bonnie Shadrake.
