"A
CITY WITH A GREAT LIBRARY IS A GREAT CITY" - Anonymous
Gardendale is a city where parks, shady sidewalks, manicured lawns,
churches, great schools, varied shopping opportunities, and caring people
all merge to make community a word with true meaning. Just eight miles
north of Birmingham, Gardendale is both minutes away and miles apart from
the busy metropolis. The Gardendale-Martha Moore Public Library is located
in the heart of this small community. The library is a 7,730 square-foot
building that offers a meeting room, reading porch, and other amenities.
Under the direction of library director, Connie Smith, the library
has grown to more than 55,000 items that include books, audio books,
videos, DVDs, and more. The computer center features eight public
computers, Internet access, Microsoft Office programs, and games for
learning. Additionally, we have programs designed for both adults and
children such as Story Time, Toddler Time, and Family Night. At our web
site, you can check out coming events, view your record, renew items, and
much more. Our web site changes weekly to update users on our program
dates and times. Drop by or visit us online!
