    Fiction for Younger Readers

Ahlberg, Allan. My Brother's Ghost - A poignant, from-the-heart account, of a boy who dies and returns to help his older sister and younger brother.

Cleary, Beverly. Ramona's World  - Follows the adventures of nine-year-old Ramona at home with big sister Beezus and baby sister Roberta and at school in Mrs. Meacham's class.

Hoban, Russell. The Sea-Thing Child - Washed up on the beach during a storm, the sea-thing child clings fearfully to the shore until he discovers his true destiny.

Patschke, Steve. The Spooky Book - In a dark house, Andrew gets scared reading a spooky book in which a girl is reading a spooky book in a scary house.

  Fiction For Older Readers

Avi. Midnight Magic - In Italy in 1491, Mangus the magician and his apprentice are summoned to the castle of Duke Claudio to determine if his daughter is indeed being haunted by a ghost.

Fine, Anne. Bad Dreams - Despite her preference for books over friends, Melanie gradually becomes involved with a new classmate and is determined to find the reason for her strange behavior.

Jacques, Brian. Lord Brocktree - Jacques' talent for creating memorable characters and weaving several plot strands into one cohesive story are at their best in this exciting adventure.
