"Send in the Clones, or not?"
Dr. Gregory E. Pence, Professor, Department of Philosophy and School of Medicine, UAB; author of Who’s Afraid of Human Cloning?, will present myths, facts and ethical issues about cloning humans.

Wednesday, March 8
"Where Are the Children?"
Phil Cain, Associate Director, Family Connection, Inc., will speak on issues pertaining to runaway/ homeless youth and will discuss intervention programs.

Wednesday, March 15
"High Anxiety"
Gloria Howard, Assistant Director, Aletheia House, will speak on current trends in drug abuse and recovery programs.

Wednesday, March 22
"When I’m 64"
Barbara Martin, Executive Director, Jefferson County Office of Senior Citizens’ Activities, will profile our aging population and discuss ways in which individuals can enrich their senior years.

Wednesday, March 29
"Growing Up Too Fast"
Jarrett Royster- Dyer, Executive Director, Five Points YMCA, will discuss the pressures and pitfalls which put youth at risk and will discuss programs designed to assist the young to navigate through their tumultuous adolescent years.

April

Join us on Wednesday, April 5, 12, 19 & 26 as we support the 
Birmingham International Festival of Southeastern Native Americans.

These programs are held at 12:00 noon in the 3rd floor auditorium of the Linn-Henley Building.  The library provides beverages.

No reservations are needed.  Programs are free and open to the public.  For additional information call 226-3604
